Pieceful Demos & BOM's  - Fall '07

Our Demos will usually run about ½ hour and there are usually no fees for the short lecture; however, some demos may require a pattern or other supplies to complete the project.  Occasionally we will request that you register and pay in advance so that we make sure to have enough patterns and kits available.

Stars Around the Garden Block-of-the-Month
We are almost finished with this BOM, but patterns and kits for each part will continue to be available in the shop until they are all gone.  The final part will be presented in September, and we will have a Reunion/Show & Tell meeting in November.  Be sure to let Carrie know if you need finishing kits!

Civil War Stars Row-of-the-Month – FREE Demonstrations
Karen Witt’s Civil War Stars pattern is simply gorgeous.  You will need to purchase Karen’s pattern in order to participate.  Each month we will do a different row of the quilt.  Carrie will go over the pattern and provide tips for completing each row with ease.  Kits in the fabrics Karen used (or something close) will be available for purchase at each meeting.  Extra kits will be available in the shop after each meeting.  If you are not able to make a meeting you may call to reserve your kit.

Mystery Quilt
Carrie has designed a brand new six-month Mystery quilt for you.  Come to the first meeting to learn all about it.  If you purchase your fabric for the quilt at the first meeting, you will receive 20% off regular priced fabric.

American Heritage – Block-of-the-Month
We loved Bits N’ Pieces’, “Stars Around the Garden,” so much that we decided to try another of their BOM’s.  This one is patriotic (which you know I am a sucker for), so we will be doing the kits in patriotic fabrics.  It is an 8 month program, so you will be able to finish it in time for next 4th of July!  How perfect!

Almost Free & Easy Star Sampler Block-of-the-Month
Simple enough for our newer quilters but so much fun that everyone will want to do this quilt.  We have our sample blocks in patriotic colors but we will give you a choice of Patriotic, Civil War, Kansas Troubles or 30’s Fabric kits.

It works like this:

  1. Sign up for the Fabric style of your choice BEFORE the first demonstration.  We will have a LIMITED number of additional kits which will be available on a 1st come basis – otherwise, you will have to order your kits and pick them up at a later date.
  2. Come to the first Demo and purchase your first block kit for $5.00.
  3. Make your block and bring it to the next demo and your 2nd kit is FREE!
  4. Each month that you bring in the completed block from the previous month your kit will be FREE
  5. If you don’t complete your block, you must purchase your kit for $5.00.
  6. If you can’t make it on the demo night you can come at a later date and purchase your kit for $5.00.
  7. You must appear IN PERSON to get a free kit
  8. Sharon Does Christmas – Tuesday, November 20 – 10:30 or 6:30
  9. Finishing kits will be available for you to purchase at the end of the year.

Note: We can only offer one “Free” quilt per person.  If you wish to do more than one quilt, you may sign up for the additional fabric style(s) of your choice for $5.00 and additional kits may be purchased for $3.00 per month.
