Requirements for class:

You will need the Mrs. Billings Pattern & Template Set to make the Mrs. Billings Quilt.  If you would like to just come to class and learn the hand piecing technique without making the Mrs. Billings quilt, you will need the Star-a-Day pattern and template set instead.  

1 yard from your chosen background fabric (see below)

a minimum of 30 fat ⅛’s

- please include stripes and fussy cutting designs to explore the variations of these within a large quilt.

My quilt has over 100 different fabrics and I have restricted my pallet to only four colours – mostly red and brown, with a little pink and orange.

Fabric requirements for complete quilt:

11 yards cream background

11 yards assorted fabrics

¼ yard border #2

¼ yard border #4

1 yard border #6 & #8 and block sashing border #9

⅝” EPP hexagon shapes

Also:

Sewline pencil with grey lead or fine marking pen

Sewline Glue stick

Hand piecing needles

Matching thread for hand piecing and applique
