Primrose Garden Block-of-the-Month - by Katie Solberg & Karen Yaffe

This 12-month program was designed by Katie Solberg and Karen Yaffe and features Katie's new Primrose Garden Weaves and Lanacot Textured and Solid Wools.  We will begin in month 1 with the center block, where the basics of wool applique will be covered.  Customers will have access to video tutorials by Katie & Karen on Facebook and YouTube for valuable tips and techniques like fusing, pattern transfer, layout, blanket stitch and embellishment stitches.  These tips will help to assure success throughout this program, and in future applique projects as well. 

In months two through five, we will make two matching pieced blocks each month as you continue to work on your wool applique center.  In month 6, you will receive all of the wool and background materials for the four applique borders, and we will begin stitching on them.  Months 7 thorough 11, we will make more pieced blocks as you continue to hand stitch your four borders.  Finally, in month12, we will put it all together! 

There is a $25 (non-refundable) sign-up fee and then kits 1-12 will be $25.00 per month.  Kits will include all fabric and wool need for the quilt top, plus the binding and pattern.  The finished quilt is approximately 87" x 87".  You may choose to do this block-of-the-month by mail order ($6.99 per month shipping) or in-shop pickup.  

There is an optional thread kit.  Pre-order it now and we will include it with your first month's shipment.  Backing will also be available.
